WE WANT YOU TO KNOW

HOW THE PCC IS KEEPING OUR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES SAFE

The safety of our patients, families and staff is our top priority.  While we have always been conscious of maintaining a hygienic office environment, in the face of the coronavirus pandemic we have made several changes to our cleaning protocols and office workflow.

  • All visitors and staff members are screened upon entry.

  • All visitors (with the exception of babies and toddlers) and staff are wearing a face covering at all times inside the office.

  • Waiting rooms are not in use.  If your room is not yet available when you arrive, we will ask you to wait in your car until we wave you in.

  • All rooms are disinfected after each patient, and surfaces in the rest of the office are cleaned frequently throughout the work day.

  • We are seeing ONLY well patients on our second and third floors.  These patients arrive through the main entrance.

  • Sick patients use a separate entrance and are seen on the first floor during designated time slots, or in some cases are seen outdoors.

  • Masks and gloves are worn by our doctors and staff for all patient encounters; additional personal protective gear is used when appropriate.

  • In order to limit the number of people in the office at any one time, we are allowing only one parent in for visits, and asking our families to keep other children at home.  Parents of adolescents can consider waiting in the car and joining the visit via FaceTime.

  • If you are dropping off forms or picking something up, you may call the front desk from the parking lot and one of our staff members will be happy to meet you at your car.

  • We now offer telemedicine visits for many types of appointments. The majority of insurance plans are covering telemedicine visits during this pandemic.

Feel free to call us if you have questions about your upcoming visit.  In order to maintain social distancing and adhere to these protocols, we must limit the number of patients we can see each day.  Please bear this in mind when scheduling well visits, as our families may need to book these visits farther in advance than they did previously.

All of us at the Pediatric Care Center want you to know that we are right here for you to help in every way we can during this challenging time.
